How paid provider visibility works on Nursing Home Placement and what it does—and does not—mean for families comparing senior care.

Nursing Home Placement (“NHP”) is a senior care directory and informational resource for families. Some senior care providers may pay NHP for enhanced visibility, advertising, sponsorship, or featured placement on the website.
Paid Placement May Affect Visibility
A provider that purchases a paid visibility plan may appear more prominently than a standard listing in certain areas of the website. Depending on the plan and market, this may include featured or priority placement in directory results or on city, care-category, state, or homepage sections.
Provider Labels
Labels such as Featured Community, Market Spotlight, Premier Partner, Signature Partner, Featured, Sponsored, or similar language may indicate that a provider has a commercial visibility arrangement with NHP.
Paid Placement Is Not a Quality Rating or Endorsement
Payment for visibility does not mean NHP has determined that a facility is safer, better, more appropriate, more highly rated, or more qualified than another community. Paid placement is advertising or promotional visibility—not an independent clinical, regulatory, or quality assessment.
Families Should Independently Evaluate Communities
Families should evaluate each community based on their loved one’s needs and independently confirm important information before making a decision. This may include licensing status, inspection information, staffing, services, care capabilities, pricing, fees, insurance or Medicaid participation, availability, admission requirements, and other relevant details.
Provider-Supplied Information
Some listing details, descriptions, photographs, services, amenities, and promotional statements may be supplied or updated by the provider or its authorized representative. NHP may conduct basic listing or ownership checks, but we do not independently verify every provider-supplied statement or guarantee that all information remains current.
Directory Search and Ordering
Search results and directory ordering may be influenced by factors such as location, selected filters, care category, listing configuration, technical relevance, and paid featured placement. A higher or more prominent position should not be interpreted as a recommendation that a particular community is the best choice for a specific person.
Editorial and Educational Content
Payment for a provider visibility plan does not entitle a provider to favorable treatment in NHP’s general caregiver education, care guides, or informational content. NHP may separately identify sponsored material when content itself is created or distributed as part of a paid commercial arrangement.
Compensation
NHP may receive compensation from senior care providers or related businesses for advertising, enhanced listings, sponsorships, featured placement, or other commercial services. Any future referral or lead-generation compensation arrangements may also be disclosed where appropriate.
No Guarantee of Availability or Admission
A featured or sponsored listing does not guarantee that a community has current availability, accepts a particular payment source, can meet a person’s care needs, or will approve admission. Those decisions are made by the provider.
