As difficult as it is to place a loved one in a facility, there are needs that nursing homes meet, which may not be able to be met at a residential home:
Reassurance that resident is in a safe and secure environment (with proper medical equipment if needed)
Is monitored by nurses 24/7
Participates in recreational activities and socialization that stimulate the mind
Resident provided three healthy meals a day in social Dining Rooms
Dietician
Residents given medicine at the appropriate times by a licensed nurse
All specialties of Physician Services are available on site (Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Dentistry)
Psychological and Psychiatric Services available on a bi-weekly basis
Social Workers available for resident to submit suggestions, concerns or requests
Physical and Occupational Therapy provided to stimulate the body and mind
